    Back up everything

    Your work lives in this browser only. It is lost if someone clears the browser's data, and it does not follow you to another device. Save a backup file somewhere safe now and then.

    Open a file

    Opens a tactic or a backup that was exported from this app, whether by you or by another coach. You will be asked what to do before anything changes.

    Reset all data

    Removes every team, player and tactic stored in this browser. This cannot be undone, so export a backup first if you want to keep anything.

    The format and the team are set when the tactic is created, so that players already on the pitch stay valid. Duplicate the tactic if you need a different one.

    How do I…

    Get this onto my phone
    Open the same web address on the phone and add it to the home screen. Your work does not follow you, so send yourself a backup from this screen and open it there.
    Send a tactic to another coach
    Share → Export tactic. The file carries the team and squad with it, so it opens on its own at their end.
    Put it in the team's group chat
    Share → Export animation for the whole move, or Export picture for the step you are looking at. Both play with nothing to install.
    Animate a move
    Steps → Add step, move the players where they end up, then press Play. Each step is a moment; the app moves between them.
    Write down how to coach it
    Steps → Name & notes. What you write shows under the step it belongs to, and travels inside the file when you send it.
    Put my own squad into a tactic somebody sent me
    Bench → Use another squad. It makes a copy with your players in it and leaves the original alone.
    Fill the faded circles
    Those are places nobody fits yet. Add the player to your squad, then Bench → Fill empty places, or drag anyone from the bench straight onto one.
    Fill the screen with one half of the pitch
    Tools → Our half or Their half. It is a zoom, so nothing on the board moves and Whole pitch puts it back exactly. It travels with a shared tactic and with an exported picture.
    Work on a plain area with no markings
    Edit the tactic and change Drawn on, for a drill where a penalty spot would only be in the way. Everything already on the board comes with it.
    Turn an 11-a-side tactic into a 9 or 7-a-side one
    Edit the tactic and use Duplicate for another format. The copy keeps the shape of the move on that format's pitch; going smaller, the keeper and the defence are kept first. The original is untouched.
    Find one tactic among a lot of them
    A search box appears above the list once you have six. It looks in names, teams, formats and your coaching notes.
    Mark who is missing this week
    On the squad screen, the toggle on each player's row. They stay in the squad but are left out when a formation is laid out.
    Get my work back after clearing my browser
    Only from a backup file. There is no copy anywhere else; that is the price of nothing leaving your device. Export a backup now and then.

    Opposition shape

    Laid out attacking the other way, so their shape faces yours. It replaces the opposition circles on this step; undo brings them back.

    Clear the board

    This step only. The other steps of the move are left alone, and it can be undone.

    Use my squad

    You can also just drag a circle off the board to take it off.

    The eraser tool rubs out marks too, if you have several to clear.

    Share this tactic

    As a file

    Saves a small file holding this tactic, its team and its players, so another coach can open it on their own device.

    As a picture

    Saves a picture of the board as it looks now, ready to send to a group chat. If the tactic has several steps, it saves the step you are looking at.

    As a moving picture

    Saves the whole move as an animation that plays on its own in a message or a group chat, with nothing to install at the other end. Needs more than one step.
